What are our purposes?

The main purpose of the project – to introduce the history and culture of Russia to Russian citizens and foreign guests.

The project “The Big Golden Ring of Russia” was initiated by Russian regions in 2005. It is targeted at restoring “all together” of culture objects of the national significance. Project presentation took place in the Kremlin on the National Unity Day on November 4, 2006.

What are our tasks?

• Uniting all project’s interested parties’ efforts for the sake of realisation of the principal purpose;

 • Facilitating in forming up a positive image of the country through the great culture of Russia;

 • Drawing up attention of Russian citizens and of foreign guests to the national heritage of Russia;

 • Developing national cultural and educative tourism which will become the driving force for revival of culture and history monuments of our country;

 • Development and sustention of traditional crafts, folk culture and arts crafts;

 • Spreading of the traditional national cuisine.

“The Big Golden Ring of Russia” is:

• Unique objects of history and culture, pearls of “The Big Golden Ring of Russia” are in 42 regions of the country;

 • The largest by its length – over 20 thousand kilometers – cultural and educational route for native citizens and foreign guests;

 • A large-scale project which enjoys support of the Ministry of sports, tourism and youth policy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture, regions of our country;

 • A programme unique by the number of its participants – 42 regions of Russian under patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications of RF, Government of the City of Moscow;

 • A programme with the most respected Board of Trustees in Russia;

 • Unique charity concerts in the Kremlin “The Light of the White Mountain”;

 • A unique series of documentaries “Secrets of The Big Golden Ring of Russia”;

 • A unique youth action on promotion of “We come from Russia” project;

 • Project’s unique partners.
